Easy-to-Start Hexapod Controllers from PI

This video demonstrates how easy it is to start up the Hexapods by Physik Instrumente (PI). These six-axis parallel-kinematic positioning systems from PI are easier to operate and are also more compact and flexible than conventional serial 6-axis systems. Featuring just two cables, the Hexapod has no cable management issues. Over the last 25 years, PI’s specialized Hexapod controllers and software tools have been optimized. The hexapod has multiple interfaces such as TCP/IP and aRS-232. PI provides powerful plug and play software tools for control, simulation, and operation. The Hexapod system can perform smooth vectorized motion in all six degrees of freedom. The controller handles all coordinate transformation. It is possible to switch coordinate systems with one simple command. PI offers a variety of Hexapod configurations: there is one for almost any application.
