PI Piezomotors Now Available in Various Designs

This video offers a glimpse of the various commercially available piezomotors by Physik Instrumente (PI). Piezomotors come in various designs, which are optimized for different applications. Parameters such as speed, cost, holding force, pushing force, size, and stability can be influenced by different designs. The PI Piezomotors are extremely compact, cost-effective, and suitable for linear and rotary motion. The PiezoWalk motors have forces up to 1000 N, offer sub-nanometer resolution, and include a self-locking drive.

The piezomotors are equipped with a highly stable piezo ratchet and position encoder. They have a resolution of 20 nm. The Mini-Rod has nanometer precision, sensor option and a holding force of 10 N. These piezomotors hold application in several fields such as micromanipulation, automation, biotechnology, sample manipulation, sample positioning, applications with limited space, etc.
