PI Ceramic Offers Piezoceramic Solutions for Industry and Research
In this "PI Insights" video, Physik Instrumente’s (PI) subsidiary PI Ceramic introduces itself and explains how it uses its wide-ranging know-how, experience, and unlimited flexibility to manufacture piezoceramic solutions for research and industry and also demonstrates how these elements are then made to work. Patrick Pertsch (Head of Product Division Multilayer) provides details about piezo technology. The company, located in Lederhose, Germany, employs 230 people and has been in operation since 1992. It has an annual turnover of 19 million euro. The products are customized according to customer’s needs. Special diamond-tipped tools are used for intricate work. PI Ceramic also has cleanrooms to create piezo components.
