ZYBRID Touch Sensor Selected for HMI of Bladelius Design’s Flagship Audio Playback System

Atmospheric Imaging Assembly Built by Lockheed Martin Launched on NASA's SDO

Two state-of-the art solar instruments built at the Solar and Astrophysics Laboratory of the Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in Palo Alto, were launched this morning at 10:23 a.m. EST aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket. The Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA), a suite of four telescopes, will provide an unprecedented view of the solar corona, taking images that span at least 1.3 solar diameters in multiple wavelengths nearly simultaneously, at a resolution of about one arc-second and at a cadence of ten seconds or better. The Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI), designed in collaboration with Professor Philip Scherrer, HMI Principal Investigator, and other scientists at Stanford University, will study the origin of solar variability and attempt to characterize and understand the Sun's interior and magnetic activity.

Advanced Photonix Receives Follow-On Order for Photodiode Assembly and Optical Sensor

Advanced Photonix, Inc. (R) (NYSE Amex: API) announced today that it has received a $2.4 million follow-on order from a major defense prime contractor to deliver products within a 26-month time frame beginning May 2010. The Company expects most of the revenue to be recognized evenly over the next two fiscal years. The products to be supplied for this order include a custom photodiode assembly and optical sensor used for the Navy's Guided Missile Systems. The Guided Missile Weapon System is the world's most modern ship self-defense weapon, and has been specifically designed to provide exceptional protection for multiple ship platforms.

DRS Technologies Secures US$100 Million Orders from US Military for Infrared Driver’s Vision Enhancers

DRS Technologies, Inc. announced that U.S. military orders for its infrared Driver’s Vision Enhancers (DVEs) have reached $100 million against a June 2009 contract. Contract was awarded by the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) at Fort Monmouth, N.J. Silicon Image to Demonstrate Tessera FotoNation FaceTracker Solution at 2010 GSMA Mobile World Congress

Tessera Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:TSRA) and Silicon Image, Inc.
