Thermo Luminescence Emission Systems for Stress Detection in Plants

Researchers are nowadays working on non-invasive, sensitive optical techniques to diagnose plants faster. Detecting stress symptoms in plants is essential to monitor the adverse effects in the environment. The scientists focus on validating some optical measurements to determine the pathological situations in stressed plants at the beginning stage. The techniques to be applied are based on biophysical ways such as thermo luminescence emission and chlorophyll fluorescence.

Shanghai Expo Witnesses the World’s Largest Multitouch Display Wall

MultiTouch and Riolab have teamed up to develop the world’s largest high-definition (HD) display called The Wall of Chile. The multitouch display features a 4 m long and a 1.2 m high display wall, which allows viewers to watch thousands of photographs and HD video for over six hours. The HD display was launched at the 2010 Shanghai Expo.
