Elbit’s Digital CoMPASS Electro-Optical Payload Systems to be Installed Onboard Asia-Pacific Air Force Helicopters

Elbit Systems Ltd. ("Elbit Systems") announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Elbit Systems Electro-optics - Elop Ltd. (Elop), was awarded a follow-on contract to supply its advanced Digital CoMPASS® electro-optical (EP) payload systems to an Asia-Pacific Air Force to be installed onboard Helicopters. The contract will be performed over a three-year period.

Physicists Construct Compact New Generation Optical Amplifier

A compact new generation optical amplifier has been constructed by physicists from the Laser Centre of the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Faculty of Physics of the Warsaw University. The apparatus is extremely efficient and small enough to fit on a desktop and is able to generate over 10 terawatt light pulses.
