This laser cavity is a complete package with matched components that deliver 1 kilowatt of true single-mode output. Its breakthrough core architecture and fiber design extends the power capacity delivered per module. This enables customers to simplify their multi-kW system design.
The innovative package design gives customers the freedom to use the pump diode of their choice. "This optical engine's higher power capability and true single-mode design deliver near ideal splice loss capability, high efficiency and excellent beam quality", states Dr. Jerome Porque, Lead Product Development Engineer at OFS.
In addition, OFS offers a compatible TrueM2™ Beam Combiner that enables customers to combine several laser cavities needed to build multi-KW systems. "These OFS modules are expected to provide customers a reliable fiber laser technology solution.
