Amtech Receives New Orders for Solar Cell Diffusion Processing Systems

Amtech Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASYS), a global supplier of production and automation systems and related supplies for the manufacture of solar cells, semiconductors, and silicon wafers, today announced that its solar subsidiary, Tempress Systems, Inc., has received approximately $19 million in solar orders for its diffusion processing systems from several new and existing customers in Asia.

Huntingdon Assigns ATS to Install Automated Speed and Red-Light Cameras

The Town of Huntingdon, Tenn., is implementing a new traffic enforcement program after a 2009 study revealed that speeding on State Highway 70 threatens public safety. Huntingdon selected American Traffic Solutions (ATS) of Scottsdale, Ariz., to develop, install and monitor an automated red-light and speed camera traffic enforcement program that Town officials expect will encourage drivers to decrease their speeds and stop for red lights.

Carmanah Selects JEC to Distribute its Solar LED Lighting Products in Hong Kong

Canadian solar LED technology innovator Carmanah Technologies Corporation (TSX: CMH) has entered into a distribution agreement with the Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC), a member of Hong Kong-based Jardine Matheson Group. NEC Electronics (TSE:6723) today announced its new super-resolution application-specific standard product (ASSP), the µPD9281GC.
