Universal Solar Technology (UNSS) announced that it is in the midst of discussions to sign a multi-million dollar contract with a European company. UNSS is a manufacturer of solar PV modules, solar wafers and solar grade ingots. The contract would allow the company to manufacture and deliver monocrystaline solar modules of 20MW capacity by the end of this year.
The Chief Executive Officer and Board Chairman of UNSS, Wensheng Chen, said the company is delighted with the developments in the new production facility. He further commented that the new factory and equipment would help the company in supplying 20MW solar wafers, 30MW solar photovoltaic modules and 50MW silicon ingots.
The company has employed more than 90 employees at its manufacturing site in Nanyang city. In addition, several contracts have been signed by the company to deliver raw materials such as silicon.
