Semrock Introduces New Quad-Band Set Comprising Hard-Coated Optical Filters

Semrock announces the first complete quad-band fluorescence filter set for simultaneous four-color imaging by eye or with a color camera using broadband illumination.

Quad-band fluorescence filter set

The new DA/FI/TR/Cy5-A quad-band set is comprised of three high-performance, hard-coated optical filters:  excitation and emission filters each with four high-transmission passbands and excellent out-of-band blocking and a perfectly matching beamsplitter with four precision edges.

The particularly unique FF01-387/485/559/649-25 quad-band exciter includes a high-transmission passband at ultraviolet (UV) wavelengths in addition to three longer-wavelength precision passbands.  The entire filter set is constructed with Semrock's hard ion-beam-sputtered technology so the filters won't "burn-out" even under intense UV irradiation and are virtually impervious to humidity and temperature-induced degradation for permanent performance.

"The trend to image larger numbers of fluorophores simultaneously is pushing us to develop new designs to answer this demand.  Right now, Semrock is the only filter manufacturer that can offer this technology and level of design capability," said Turan Erdogan, Chief Technology Officer.

Semrock's filters are in stock.  We guarantee same-day shipping, rapid custom-sizing in under a week, and a 30-day no-hassle return policy for all catalog products. And all Semrock filters are covered under the company's five-year warranty.
