NP Photonics Reaches Milestone with Delivery of 1,000th Laser

NP Photonics, producer of fiber lasers for research, medical and sensing markets, announced that it has shipped its 1000th laser in May 2010.

NP Photonics’ Chief Executive Officer and President, Micki Downey, stated that the company is happy to achieve this significant milestone and reinforces their capability to manufacture high-efficient lasers that meet the needs of commercial fiber optic sensing surroundings. The company intends to capitalize the forecasted development in the optic sensing area, he said.

The NP Photonics’ fiber technology is utilized in a variety of products such as low phase-noise, narrow line-width fiber lasers, which are developed for industrial operations.
