Emerald Networks Launches Transatlantic Fibre Optic Cable Connecting North America and Europe

Emerald Networks, an operator and owner of subsea cable systems has declared that the company intends to complete the deployment of an increased capacity, low latency, transatlantic, submarine cable system by the spring of 2013, to meet increased density data demands between Europe and the U.S. With a major investment from the Wellcome Trust, it has selected Jefferies & Company, a global finance firm, to achieve a 300 M USD fundraise to support the project.
