New Rugged Military LCD Displays Launched by AIS

American Industrial Systems, Inc. (AIS) introduces a Rugged Military LCD Display Line featuring monitors for marine, vehicle, military servers, and field deployment applications. AIS’ Rugged Vehicle Display, Marine Bridge Display, and Rugged Rack Mountable Display features shock and vibration resistant compliance up to MIL-810F Environmental Engineering standards. The displays are available in sizes ranging from 8.4” to 20.1” and are all touch-screen capable, converting the displays into HMI terminals. The ruggedized displays additionally feature, IP65 Water/Dustproof rating, Anti-corrosion coatings, Sunlight Readability Enhancements, and a variety of mounting options. These versatile displays are designed to reliability operate in harsh environments for military, marine, outdoor, and vehicle applications.

New IEEE P802.3bg Project Aims to Provide 40 Gb/s Optical Compatibility

The IEEE has approved work to begin on a new amendment to the IEEE 802.3™ Ethernet standard that will serve to enhance the 40 Gb/s Ethernet physical layer (PHY) capabilities already under development in the IEEE P802.3ba™ 40 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s Ethernet project.

Cemtrex's Laser Opacity Monitors Chosen for UTE's Plant in Uruguay

Cemtrex Inc. (OTC: CTEI) announced the award of a $1.3 million contract received from the National Administration of Power Plants and Electric Transmissions of Uruguay (UTE) to design, supply, and install complete Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) for eight stacks with redundant systems for emissions reporting and compliance. The CEMS will be installed at Jose Batlle y Ordonez Station in Montevideo, Uruguay and will measure and report emissions of SO 2, CO, NO, NO 2, O 2 and particulate matter.

UL Notifies About Unauthorized Bicycle Lighting Power Supply

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is notifying retailers and consumers that the power supply provided with the bicycle lighting system identified below, bears an unauthorized UL Mark for the United States and Canada. This power supply has not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate standard for safety for the United States or Canada and is not authorized to bear the UL Mark. It is unknown if this power supply complies with United States or Canadian safety requirements.
