Boeing Takes Delivery of High Energy Laser Parts for US Army

Boeing announced the beam director assembly’s delivery for the High Energy Laser for the U.S. Army. With this action plan, the project has neared demonstration testing, which will be carried out at New Mexico’s White Sands Missile Range by next year. An L-3 Communications division, Integrated Optical Systems Brashear, made the assembly’s delivery to Boeing’s Albuquerque facility.

CFP MSA Publishes Revised Documents of Optical Transceivers Specifications

Opnext, Sumitomo Electric Industries, Finisar and Avago Technologies have announced that the CFP MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) has released the revised 1.4 version of the CFP MSA firmware and hardware specification documents. The three companies, namely, Opnext, Sumitomo Electric Industries and Finisar have welcomed CFP MSA’s new member, Avago Technologies.

RSLE Comes Up with a Pathbreaking Multiband Photovoltaic Device

Developer of full spectrum photovoltaic devices, RoseStreet Labs Energy (RSLE), demonstrated a breakthrough multiband photovoltaic device in a laboratory. The photovoltaic device includes three different light absorption regions, which are embedded into a single-layered thin film device.
