CVI Adds USB 2.0 Interface Capability in BeamAlyzer Series

CVI Melles Griot has added an advanced Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 interface capability in the 7-blade Super BeamAlyzer and the 3-blade BeamAlyzer series. The silicon detector series such as the 13 SKP 724 and the 13 SKP 722 cover 190 nm to 1.1 ìm (UV-NIR) range operation, while the Indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) detector series such as the 13 SKP 754 and the 13 SKP 752 are designed for 0.8-1.8 ìm infrared range operation.

The Super BeamAlyzer

CVI’s BeamAlyzer range comprising beam diagnostics systems are designed for display and real-time measurement of laser diode beam, fiber-optic and continuous-wave (CW) laser profiles. The BeamAlyzer is specifically developed to provide optimum speed and flexibility for a wide range of beam measurements such as intensity, power, position, shape and beam width profiles.

CVI Melles Griot’s Product Manager, Tim Chin, informed that the new profilers deliver a greater level of flexibility for customers who are constantly switching between portable and desktop PCs.

The new profilers can be used in a number of applications such as quality control, laser beam optimization, beam position measurement, Gaussian fit analysis, beam alignment and on-line monitoring applications.

CVI distributes a wide range of photonics products such as lasers, opto-mechanical hardware, motion-control equipment and optical systems and components for research, aerospace, commercial, industrial, biotech and semiconductor industries. The company operates a network of production and distribution channels across the globe.
