Albeo Technologies is a major manufacturer of LED light fittings for commercial and industrial establishments. The company is promoting the improved variation of its LED fittings subsequent to being awarded four new patents. The patents safeguard the essential improvements in LED chip integration, fittings construction and electronic designs that considerably lessen costs and enhance efficiency.
Albeo’s latest patent, U.S. Patent 8,056,659, was earned for LED chip-based lighting products and methods of building, a “chip-in fixture” LED lighting design. As per this advancement, the unpackaged LED chips are directly incorporated on to the inner surface of the exterior shell of the fitting, by which there is considerable reduction in the price of the raw material of the LED fittings and significant improvement of performance.
The CIF model reduces thermal resistance by getting rid of heat sinks, the printed circuit board and the LED bundle. With this initial patent, Albeo Technologies has generated functioning models for next generation industrial and commercial LED fittings. The company anticipates that it will start selling these fittings in 2013.
According to Jeff Bisberg, CEO and Co-Founder ofAlbeo Technologies, the chip-in fixture concept is an integral improvement in LED fittings. By getting rid of many components and layers presently being used in LED fittings, there is both cost minimisation and increased efficiency. He further added that very soon these advancements will result in LED fittings being recognised as a better option than fluorescent lights by way of cost, functioning and value.
