Phoenix Photonics Launches New Wideband Fiber Polarizer for Communication Wavelengths

Phoenix Photonics has expanded its polarization control product range with a new, advanced wideband fiber polarizer. The fiber polarizer acts as a single component and can be operated over a wavelength of 1280-1640 nm with a greater ratio of more than 30 dB across a full bandwidth.

The polarizer reduces loss during the all-fiber evanescent field design, thus making it ideal for use in communication-wavelengths.

Phoenix offers polarization-maintaining fibers that have extinction ratios greater than 30dB. The company also offers a wide range of polarizers with varied central wavelengths in the single mode. The improved polarizer series provide extinction ratios of up to 60 dB.
