Unisense FertiliTech’s EmbryoSlide Culture Dish for Use with EmbryoScope Time-Lapse System Awarded US Patent

Unisense FertiliTech A/S announces that the company has been awarded a USA patent for design aspects of their EmbryoSlide® culture dish. The dish is used in conjunction with the EmbryoScope™ time-lapse system for optimal culture of human embryos during IVF. Similar design patents have been awarded in Europe, Japan, and India and are expected in China, Brazil, and Israel.

Researchers Create Optical Diode by Coupling Tiny Doughnut Shaped Optical Resonators on a Silicon Chip

At St. Paul's Cathedral in London, a section of the dome called the Whispering Gallery makes a whisper audible from the other side of the dome as a result of the way sound waves travel around the curved surface. FUJIFILM Releases New High Zoom Ratio Cine Lens Compatible with 4K Cinema Cameras

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Shigehiro Nakajima) has announced that it will release new high zoom ratio cine lens “FUJINON ZK12×25” (hereinafter “ZK12×25”), compatible with 4K* cinema cameras, in late June 2014. Equipped with the 35mm PL mount**, the most common format for cinema cameras, the ZK12×25 boasts a high zoom ratio covering the focal length of 25mm to 300mm.
