Photon Control Rolls Out Optical Bench Spectrometers for Laser Characterization Applications

Photon Control has rolled out two new spectrometers, the SPM-001-NIR2500W and the SPM-001-NIR1700S spectrometers that feature a thermoelectrically cooled InGaAs linear array.

Spectrometer

The optical bench spectrometers have a focal length of 140 mm and come in two detectors to improve the spectral range from 900 to 2500 nm. This facilitates in expanding the detection capabilities into the near-infrared range.

The spectrometers feature a digital signal processing chip, which has the ability to handle complicated signal processing tasks. They feature LabView-based software that can be integrated into the existing software by using Photon Control’s development kits. The spectrometers are ideal for pharmaceutical and petrochemical analysis, alcohol content analysis, sensors, chemical analysis, soil analysis, cellulose analysis, absorption, transmission, reflectance, moisture measurement in wood fiber, thin-film thickness measurement, laser characterization and tuning, process automation technology and mineral identification.

The spectrometers also feature a USB interface, which incorporates beam profiling and data logging. The devices also feature an analog-to-digital converter. The SPM-001-NIR2500W spectrometer covers a spectral range from 1250 to 2500 nm, while the SPM-001-NIR1700S spectrometer covers from 900 to 1700 nm. The spectrometers feature 50 Hz refresh rate, visible block order blocking filters, SMA fiber input and Hamamatsu detectors.
