European Service Provider Selects JDSU’s Optical Test Solutions for Network Deployment

JDSU, provider of optical products, announced that a European service provider has chosen the JDSU Optical Transport Network (OTN) and 100GE tester for the LTE and 100GE next-generation network deployment.

The JDSU ONT-506 100GE test solution analyses vital performance data and new transmission technologies before deployment.

The test solutions will offer key network performance metrics and analysis to determine and resolve service-affecting issues. In addition, the solutions enable the delivery of high-bandwidth, high-speed services by utilizing 100GE and 4G technologies. The consumer is including the LTE technology support to the existing JDSU 3G, 2G platform such as Distributed Network Analyzer (DNA) probes, Signaling Analyzer Real Time (SART). In addition, the customer is adding the 10 GE Ethernet blades, to facilitate the identification, analysis and correction of service-impacting issues and performance for the LTE network.

JDSU’s Regional Vice President of EMEA, Communications Test and Measurement Business Segment, Manuel Mato stated that increasing volumes of high-bandwidth and video content necessitate sophisticated solutions to enable efficient communications services. He added that the partnership between the two companies shows the significance of the optical test solutions.
