Power Technology Introduces High Power Blue and Violet Laser Diodes

Power Technology, Inc. will now offer high power Blue and Violet laser diodes for use with our PM laser module, 405 nm at 60mW, increasing cost savings and allowing for additional selection variety.

“Not only are we offering our blue and violet laser diodes at lower cost, but we are extending those cost savings through offering our blue and violet laser diodes in our PM laser module,” says Walter Burgess, VP of Sales. “This increases cost efficiency and variety of options for our customers, and we look forward to assisting our customers in achieving their specific applications through this new offering.”

PTI’s blue and violet diodes can be useful in most applications that historically use Argon-Ion, Helium Cadmium, and blue Nd: YAG lasers, including applications such as fluorescence, confocal microscopy, high-resolution printing, flow cytometry, and Raman spectroscopy.

PTI’s PM is an industrial-grade laser module designed for use in standard or rugged OEM environments, and contains a precision current source ideal for applications demanding durability and high output power. The PM also offers diffraction limited optical performance, small size, and operates on a low voltage of 8VDC.

Power Technology, Inc. will be exhibiting at Photonics West 2008, January 22 - 24, in San Jose, California. Please visit our booth to learn more about our Blue and Violet laser diode offerings, as well as new and exciting product innovations.
