Kigre has recently developed a new family of High Efficiency Side Pump (HESP) Diode Pumped Solid State (DPSS) lasers. What's new, exciting and different about HESP DPSS lasers is the ability produce high power laser devices an order of magnitude lighter, smaller, more efficient and less expensive than the existing state-of-the-art. The significant performance improvement is due in large part to the invention of a new generation of athermal high-gain laser glass materials and innovative conduction cooled packages that portends long diode lifetime at high power levels with minimal thermal conditioning requirements.
Kigre manufactures miniature "eye-safe" erbium glass, neodymium glass and Nd:YAG laser transmitters. Kigre also manufactures specialty laser glass materials optimized for use in microchip, microplate, fiber, waveguide and disk laser/amplifier applications. Kigre standard and special laser glass materials may be doped with rare-earth elements such as Erbium, Ytterbium Neodymium, Holmium, Thulium, Dysprosium, Europium and Praseodymium.
