Kibron Inc. was established in 1994 by some of the leading pioneers in the field of surface science, headed by Dr. Paavo Kinnunen, reputed for his research contributions as well as innovations in scientific instrumentation.
Conventionally, the measurement of surface tension has only been possible in well equipped laboratories, and required trained personnel. The measurements were technically demanding and slow to perform. The mission of the Kibron team was to modernize surface tension measurement technology to allow its use in applications ranging from industrial, automated high throughput screening to portable, battery operated equipment for environmental monitoring, with high reliability, precision, and sensitivity.
