Spire Dedicates 50,000 Square Foot Facility to Manufacture Solar Concentrator Cells

Spire Corporation, a global solar company providing turnkey solar factories and capital equipment to manufacture photovoltaic modules worldwide, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Spire Semiconductor, will provide dedicated, large-scale contract design and manufacturing capabilities to manufacturers of solar concentrator cells within its 50,000 square foot facility in Hudson, New Hampshire.

Northrop Grumman Awards Optical Filter Contract to PPGI

Photonic Products Group, Inc., announced today that its INRAD business unit received a follow-on production contract for proprietary ultra-violet (UV) waveband optical filter elements from Northrop Grumman's Defensive Systems Division based in Rolling Meadows, IL. This award is the largest PPGI has received to date from this customer, covering monthly deliveries from February 2008 through July 2009 at double last year's production rate.
