mPhase Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: XDSL), the developer of Power on Command™ battery technologies, has commenced shipments of its mPower Emergency Illuminator.

mPower Emergency Illuminator

mPhase is teaming with Amazon.com to process and fulfill US-based orders and Bongo.com for international orders, and the first shipments were dispatched beginning March 31st to customers who pre-ordered from February to late-March.

mPhase Technologies CEO Ron Durando stated, "The sale and shipments of the Emergency Illuminator represent a shift for mPhase for this product from development stage to a revenue producing product. Initial product shipments to customers at the end of March achieved the goal we set for getting the mPower Emergency Illuminator to market just as the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 2010 began."

The mPower Emergency Illuminator is a precision instrument with a powerful 180 Lumens LED and a USB charging port with two separate battery tubes. One tube is for everyday use and holds two CR123 batteries, while the other tube holds mPhase's Power On Command™ reserve battery. If the regular CR123 batteries run down, the reserve battery provides power even after laying idle for 20 years. The design of the Emergency Illuminator was performed by the renowned Porsche Design Studio in Zell am See, Austria, and the product manufacturing is by MKE of Heidenreichstein, Austria.
