Photo & Imaging Shanghai China 2010 Exhibition to be Held in July 2010

PHOTO & IMAGING SHANGHAI CHINA 2010(The 12th China Shanghai Interphoto & Digital Imaging Exhibition), one of the largest and most influential photo and imaging exhibitions in China and the Asia Pacific region, is scheduled to be held at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Centre from July 1st to 4th, 2010.

As an important event in the photo & imaging industry held during the Expo 2010, the exhibition will showcase equipment for image input, camera parts & accessories, photographic equipment and consumables, image storing, image editing, image processing, image output, digital imaging and related products, technologies and services. The exhibition, which is scheduled to be held during the Expo 2010 Shanghai China (from May 1st to Oct 31st, 2010), is expected to benefit from the business opportunities brought about by the Expo 2010. As such products as digital cameras and digital printers are gaining popularity in China, digital photography and imaging tools have become an integral part of people's professional and personal lives, helping people record special, memorable moments and share the pictures and images with families and friends. Statistics show that the Chinese market for photographic and imaging products will continue to grow, with stable development anticipated for the country's digital camera segment in 2009 and the next five years. More than 12 million digital cameras are expected to be sold in the Chinese market this year, with the sales projected to exceed the 16 million unit mark by 2013, representing a compound annual growth rate of approximately 9.7 per cent. In addition, sales of digital single-lens reflex cameras are expected to reach one million units in 2010.

In line with the industry's trends and hot topics, as well as the theme of the Expo 2010, the organizers, in cooperation with their partners and media outlets, will host a series of events on travel, news, advertising, portrait and landscape photography, including Expo 2010 focused events, photography competitions, photo shows, technology workshops, business forums and summits.

The exhibition will be open to the general public free of charge and will adopt B2C and B2B models, offering exhibitors an exciting opportunity to meet photography enthusiasts and end users face to face, and to communicate and gain an understanding about their need and desire for new products and services.
