OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Unveils the Pictiva OLED Display Reference Design Kit

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors announced today the arrival of its new development tool, the Pictiva™ OLED Display Reference Design Kit for 2.7”128x64.

The Reference Design Kit serves as a design model and helps customers to easily evaluate OSRAM OLED products, allowing for rapid and efficient integration into their display system applications. Additionally, it assembles all necessary items to power up, initialize, test various modes, and display images on a display module.

“The Pictiva™ OLED Reference Design Kit makes it easy for customers to evaluate using OLED displays in their products, and also contains hardware and software references which can save valuable engineering time and shorten the design cycle,” John Cramer, product marketing manager, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Inc, said. “The kit contains our two most popular industrial OLED displays: the 2.7” 128x64 and the 1.6”128x64 in the same box,” he added.

The kit is operated with any standard desktop or laptop PC, and gives users the flexibility to download any image quickly while supporting both still photographs and video . Contrast levels, gamma tables, and many other useful functions are incorporated into a user-friendly PC interface.

This functional system integration tool also includes both hardware and software solutions to speed the design process. Moreover, it supports multiple OSRAM OLED formats and includes an RS-232 interface for pattern upload.
