AMS Technologies Announces Market Launch of MEMS 3D Micro-Mirrors

AMS Technologies announces the market launch of new MEMS 3D micro-mirrors of Sercalo Microtechnology Ltd.

The new product line is used for precise optical beam steering. To avoid an optical feedback loop, the micro-mirror is designed to minimize effects such as drift, hysteresis and temperature dependent performance.

The MEMS 3D Micro-Mirrors are characterised by their precision. The mirrors are available in a single configuration or in arrays up to 32x4. They incorporate the latest silicon micromachining techniques, which enable the rotation in two different angles. A wide range of different mirror sizes and custom packages are available.

The products are used in a wide range of applications like beam steering, optical spectroscopy, tunable filters, optical assembly error correction, optical feedback control loop, wavelength selective switching and a lot more.

The new devices are going to be demonstrated at AMS Technologies booth # 119 at ECOC 2008 in Brussels. Sercalo’s products are available from AMS Technologies throughout Europe.
