As in previous years, the OWIS GmbH from Staufen exhibited at the Optatec. The international trade fair for optical technologies, components and systems was held from 20 to 22 May 2014 in Frankfurt.
It is regarded as the industry meeting place No. 1 and excellent platform to present to an international audience precision components in the fields of optical beam handling and positioning systems.
True to the motto "Exactly what you want" the OWIS® team expected the visitors with advancements and latest product innovations.
In the optical components, the UNOH family was introduced, which has grown with the new universal optic holder UNOH 65. The “big brother” is capable to carry flexible optics with Ø 22 mm up to Ø 51 mm. For smaller optics the UNOH 25 and UNOH 40 are available.
In the field of manual positioning systems, the new linear precision stages LPT 30 were the crowd puller. Thanks to the extremely small dimensions – shallower and narrower than a matchbox – they are particularly suitable for use in limited space. Combined with the high load capacity the positioners convince by their great flexibility.
Among the motorized positioning systems the focus was on the advanced position control unit PS 90. With numerous new features it offers security and ease of use like never before.
