Larson Electronics Launches Work Area Lighting LED String Light for Demanding Work Conditions

Industrial Lighting leader Larson Electronics has released an LED string lighting system that provides higher performance and durability than comparable incandescent string lights. The WAL-SL-10-LED Work Area Lighting LED String Light features LED lighting technology and heavy duty construction that provides operators with powerful lighting capable of standing up to demanding work conditions.

Work area string light

The Larson Electronics WAL-SL-10-LED work area lighting LED string light provides powerful work site illumination while using less energy and producing less heat than fragile incandescent string lights. Each ten watt LED lamp produces more light than a 100 watt incandescent bulb, yet runs cooler and uses only 10% as much power. This string light produces high quality light, with whiter coloration and none of the yellowish tint produced by incandescent bulbs. The set features ten LED lamps spaced ten feet apart along 100 feet of heavy duty 14/2 SJTW cable. Each lamp consists of a 10 watt LED bulb, integrated hanging hook, and a protective cage to prevent bulb damage. Although there are limits to how many sets can be connected together, the lower LED power requirements means operators can connect more strings together without causing excessive amp loads, or they can simply enjoy higher efficiency and produce more light while using less power with one set. This temporary work area light set provides higher quality light output and cooler operation, and the LED design and heavy duty construction provides greater durability than incandescent light sets. This set is suitable for wet areas, and the lamps have a service life rated at 50,000 hours, making them far longer lived than standard lamps and a good choice for operators in the industrial and utilities industries who need reliable lighting that can stand up to the rigors of tough working conditions.

“This temporary LED string light provides intense light output from then LED A19 style bulbs while drawing 1/10th the electrical power as a traditional 100 watt incandescent lamp,” said Robert Bresnahan with Larson Electronics Magnalight.com.

Larson Electronics carries an extensive line of LED lights, hazardous location lights, portable work lights, and intrinsically safe LED trouble lights. You can view Larson Electronics’ entire line of explosion proof lighting on the web at Magnalight.com.
