tED Magazine Honors Hubbell Lighting with Four Best of the Best Awards

Hubbell Lighting, a world leader in lighting innovation, announced today that it received four Best of the Best Awards from tED Magazine—a tie for the most awards of any supplier. Hubbell Lighting brand's Alera Lighting, Columbia Lighting, Hubbell Outdoor Lighting, and Progress Lighting received awards in various categories, including the coveted Judges Choice Award.

"Winning four tED Magazine Best of the Best Awards is a true testament to the very talented and dedicated employees that have set this company apart as one of North America's largest—and in our opinion, unrivaled—manufacturers of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure lighting solutions," said Scott Muse, President of Hubbell Lighting.

The following were this year's Hubbell Lighting winners by category with judges' comments:

LITERATURE/SELLING TOOL: Hubbell Outdoor Lighting—LED Products Guide

Hubbell Outdoor Lighting created a powerful reference resource tool for comparing LED lighting to traditional lighting sources.

From the Judges: "The piece constantly reinforces the idea that the manufacturer provides solutions in an easily understood way. This is a wonderful reference guide for the future and a necessary tool for today's LED salespeople that is beautifully illustrated with photos of applications of specific products."

PRINT AD CAMPAIGN: Columbia Lighting—LED Ads

Columbia Lighting wanted to show customers that it is committed to providing energy management products and tools and energy-efficient lighting solutions.

From the Judges: "The ads are clean and easy to understand with headlines that pull you in. It only takes a quick look to know what the message is and you can move right into it."

PRINT AD SINGLE: Alera Lighting—Daylight Harvesting Just Got Easier

"Every room with a window or a skylight is an opportunity to save resources" was the message in Alera's ad, which was designed to promote the energy-savings opportunities offered by the company's Integrated Control Systems.

From the Judges: "The customer-focused headline, benefit-oriented copy, unique design, and effective execution are sure to get the attention of distributors, architects, designers, and specifiers."

JUDGES' CHOICE SUPPLIER: Progress Lighting—Mobile App

Progress designed a mobile app for iOS and Android platforms to educate users on its thousands of fixtures.

From the Judges: "This clean, elegant, and user-friendly app for both iPhone and Android lets both lighting dealers and end-users search thousands of fixtures. We especially like the 'dealer mode,' which allows users to create individual jobsheets that convert to orders through the Progress Lighting website."
