Tampa Clinic Offers Successful Companion Laser Therapy

Creek Animal Medical Centre declared that companion animal laser therapy has shown successful deployment in the veterinary hospital. Since last year, this novel treatment has been used in Tampa vet practice for meeting various veterinary health issues such as snakebites, arthritis, joint disease, ear, and bladder infections and skin diseases.

Veterinarian Dr. Timothy D. Hodge suggested companion laser therapy as a non-invasive treatment therapy for treating skin infections, joint pain, arthritis, and other veterinary health problems.

Laser therapy has been suggested by Dr. Hodge for treating pets with arthritis, joint, and hip pain. The veterinarian stated that laser therapy is an excellent option for aged pets than traditional orthopedic surgery. Laser therapy has found to be an ideal alternative that ensures short recovery period with instant pain relief.

In addition, the veterinary hospital provides companion laser therapy for treating snakebites, skin diseases, and other infections. The process of laser therapy initiates by stimulating cells followed by increasing blood flow. This stimulation leads to internal healing and minimizes inflammation. Furthermore, it ensures reduction in nerve sensitivity and pain signals.

Multiple treatment sessions may be performed ranging from 10-30 mins, based on the health condition and size of the pet.

According to Dr. Hodge, the results are effective after one or two sessions. 8 to 10 sessions of treatment assure the pets with maximum pain relief.

Class IV laser is capable of penetrating deep below the skin's surface and has been used effectively in the clinic. Dr. Hodge feels that this Class IV laser is a desirable tool that accurately delivers excellent laser penetration and treatment experience. The animal hospital further provides vet holistic care treatments and pet acupuncture.
