Vectra 3-D Imaging Creates Transformation in Appearance

Marina Plastic Surgery has been complemented with new, innovative technology that was once used for Hollywood movies. At the new Vectra 3-D imaging unit, the plastic surgery patients at Los Angeles can view photo simulations of their appearance before and after cosmetic treatments.

Each year, over 3 M Americans are found to undergo some type of cosmetic surgery. The most recurrent procedures include liposuction, breast augmentation or reduction, nose reshaping and many more. The founder of Marina Plastic Surgery, Dr. Grant Stevens is one of the first plastic surgeons in Los Angeles to make use of this revolutionary technology.

The compactly designed table-top system enables 3-D view of common procedures like facial and breast surgeries. In addition, it also enables preview of non-surgical procedures like injectable treatments. Aesthetic consultations are being much benefited by intense visualization and simulation tools. It also strengthens the communication between the doctors and patient, ensuring efficient treatment with specific options.

For several years, presumption of post-treatment effects remained as a challenge in cosmetic surgery. The introduction of Vectra 3-D imaging assures the patients to readily and reliably take up the surgery with realistic expectations.

The Vectra 3-D technology was developed with the intent to familiarize the patient prior to a cosmetic surgery. Through this technology, a surgeon can actually prepare the patient for the cosmetic surgery and improve his/her assurance and level of confidence. According to Dr. Stevens, the images enable the patients to visualize their appearance after the elective procedure.
