NHR Offers Menara Networks' Tunable OTN XFP DWDM Transceiver

Network Hardware Resale (NHR), a supplier of networking equipments, declared that it is the first global stocking reseller of Menara Networks' Tunable OTN XFP 10Gb/s Transceiver.

Network Hardware Resale will accommodate the entire products of Menara Network by extending its own network management and service capabilities. The products include Menara's complete C-Band Tunable XFP and XENPAK 10Gb/s Transceivers with fully integrated Optical Transport Network (OTN) and Forward Error Correction (FEC), a unique patented technology. The high performance transceiver can be optimized with full C-Band, thereby facilitating network signal transition up to 1,200 km in an amplified DWDM network.

Menara Networks XFPs and XENPAKs eliminate the requirement of stand-alone transport network elements such as DWDM transponders. Both operating and capital costs are reduced in this configuration, thereby facilitating network providers to expand their 10G networks cost-effectively.

Menara Network's Tunable FEC and OTN XFP and XENPAK 10Gb/s Transceivers ensure cable providers, carriers, multiple system operators to make the optical transport networks easy.

Upon installation, this technology allows network operators to increase reliability by reducing the number of network components, minimize capital and operating costs by over 50%, improve SLA performance by allowing preemptive corrections in network errors, and reduce sparing costs such as upgrading firmware, storing and securing equipment, distribution and staff training.
