Tellabs Nano Optical Transport System selected for Expanding UK Fiber Optic Network

Fiber optic networking services provider, Vtesse, has selected Tellabs 7100 Nano Optical Transport System (OTS) for expanding its private national network in the UK.

Tellabs is a global provider of optical, mobile, business and services solutions. The Tellabs 7100 Nano OTS is fully scalable and allows delivery of 10G services to customers. It enables Vtesse to offer rapid provision of bandwidth to its existing, as well as new customers. The Tellabs 7100 features 88 channels and is a multi-degree ROADM- based network.

The flexible technology has enabled Vtesse to acquire and deliver challenging network contracts and will aid in serving the needs of its financial, enterprise and carrier customers. Tellabs’ sales support and training package, the Enterprise Partnership Program will help service providers to position their network capabilities.

The Tellabs 7100 Nano OTS-based solution may help customers reduce their operating expenditure by 85% and capital expenditure by 65%.
