Cree, provider of LED lighting solutions, has introduced a LED module called the LMR4-1000 for downlight uses in residential, retail and commercial markets. It provides 66 lm/W of luminous efficacy.
The Cree TrueWhite Technology-based LMR4-1000 is a 2700 K LED module that provides an output of 1,000 lm at over 90 Color Rendering Index (CRI), making it an ideal substitute for 100 W incandescent bulbs used in downlight purposes. It consumes 42% less power when compared to 26 W small fluorescent lamps. It is a drop-in-ready module as it features primary thermal management, optics and driver electronics. It is offered in color temperatures of 4000 K, 3500 K, 3000 K and 2700 K with over 90 CRI. Its operating life is 35,000 h and can be dimmable to 5%.
According to Scott Schwab, who serves as Product Line Manager at Cree LED modules, the LMR4-1000 allows the company’s customers to conveniently integrate aesthetic, energy-saving LED lighting into the market.
