Philips Lumileds’ LUXEON LEDs Deliver Exceptional Color Performance

The LUXEON S LED, introduced by Philips Lumileds, has become an integral part of the modern lighting community.

This range of illumination grade LEDs simplifies the process of hot testing and color binning and delivers high quality white light of CRI >80. Currently, Philips Lumileds is producing the LUXEON S on mass scale.

The LUXEON S can be tested at a normal junction temperature of 85°C to provide precise information about its actual performance in the application. The LUXEON S is suitable for use in the hospitality and retail sectors where Punch is a detrimental factor.

The LUXEON S allows freedom from binning and eliminates the need for selecting color bin. It enables customers to choose a correlated color temperature of 3000K and delivers an exceptional level of color performance, unmatched consistency and uniform light beam. The highly focused beams produced by LUXEON S deliver light intensity that gives depth to objects and also highlights them.

The Director of Segment Marketing, Rick Hamburger stated that with LUXEON S, the company ensures ease-of-use and high-quality lighting for spot lamps used in retail outlets.
