GAO Tek has released a new optical power meter for use in optical fiber communication systems, optical fiber attenuation measurements and optical cable construction labs or sites.

The 4E power meter is suitable for using in optical fiber CATV systems, optical sensor, optical communication, optics maintenance and construction.
The optical power meter measures continuous optical signals and uploads data through RS232 interface. It offers increased measurement accuracy, automatic frequency identification, low battery indication, self-calibration, automatic shutdown and reset and automatic frequency range switching.
The portable optical device provides switchable working wavelength range of 850-1700 nm with optional modulation frequencies of 2 kHz, 1 kHz and 270 Hz. In addition, it provides SC, ST and FC connectors for selection and features a memory capacity that can store 1000 groups of data items.
