RealD Showcases XLW Cinema System at Digital Cinema Symposium

RealD has manufactured a new cinema system that has the ability to accommodate a wide throw ratio of 1.0.

The XLW Cinema System is ideal for specialty theaters, theme parks, and large screen motion picture auditoriums. The company showcased the XLW Cinema System at the Digital Cinema Symposium that was held in Texas from January 24 to January 25.

The XLW Cinema System has the ability to deliver clear 3D images on screens that have a width of 25 m. It utilizes one DLP projector and delivers twice the amount of light on a screen, when compared to other 3D projection technologies.

The Cinema System uses light efficiency technology that was released with the XL Cinema System. The XL Cinema System captures the light, which is lost by 3D projection technologies. The system recycles the light back to the screen and delivers an immersive and brighter 3D experience. The single digital cinema projector protects the XLW Cinema System from misalignment and imbalance issues that offer frequently in dual projection systems.
