New Few Cycle SPIDER Interferometer System from APE

APE has rolled out the new Few Cycle SPIDER interferometer system that provides a precision tool for comprehensive temporal and spectral characterization of electric filed optical laser pulses. The interferometer characterizes minimal laser pulses down to 5 femtoseconds.

Few Cycle SPIDER Interferometer System

The Few Cycle SPIDER system is based on the patented and proven SPIDER technology, and a material-dispersion stretcher. It evaluates the spectral phase directly by examining a spectral interferogram. The temporal phase and amplitude are obtained in real-time by integrating the device with a concurrently measured spectrum.

The new design of the interferometer allows concurrent single shot identification of phase and amplitude of pulses with maximum bandwidths of one optical octave. Very high automation for device alignment and calibration is executed for user-friendly functioning, and to allow measurements with less input intensities.

The Few Cycle SPIDER is ideal for aligning and monitoring the performance of amplifier chains and Ti:Sapphire oscillators with bandwidths beginning from 35 nm.
