EOT is a privately held company founded in Fremont, CA. in 1987 by its current President, David Scerbak. Prior to founding EOT, David co-founded Lightwave Electronics and worked at Quanta-Ray. In 1992, EOT moved to its operations to Traverse City, MI. EOT is involved in the development and manufacture of Faraday rotators and isolators as well as photodetectors. Many of the manufacturers of scientific and industrial laser systems utilize EOT's Faraday rotators/isolators as integral components in their laser systems. Likewise, many laser manufacturers and prestigious research centers use EOT's photodetectors to monitor the output of their lasers.
