Alacron and FastVision Incorporate PVI CMOS Sensor in High Speed Camera

Alacron and its affiliate, FastVision, have announced that their ultra high speed camera, the FC300, is to be highlighted at the Advanced Imaging Association’s (AIA) trade show being held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA. Panavision Imaging (PVI) has provided the CMOS Sensor for the camera. Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s patented delta doping process has been incorporated in the new camera.

Gamma Ray Optics Leads to Innovative Scientific Discovery

The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) researchers have shown the bending of gamma rays generated by radioactive decay of atomic nuclei. Physical Review Letters states that in order to identify bending or ‘refraction’ at maximum energies, a common classroom experiment version with glass prisms was used by the team.

New Technique to Produce Superluminal Pulses

This four-wave mixing novel technique re-structures parts of light pulse, followed by their movement beyond a vacuum.
