Credo Unveils New Chip Solution for Next-Generation Optical Networking Applications

Credo Semiconductor, a global innovation leader in Serializer-Deserializer (SerDes) technology, today announced it is entering the chip market with a sub 1 Watt multiplexer (MUX)/retimer device that leverages the company's unique SerDes architecture and low-cost analog technology to enable 100G optical modules with 50G per lambda throughput. The Credo® CMX12550 MUX, sampling now, supports four bidirectional lanes running at 25Gbps with NRZ signaling and 2 bidirectional lanes running at 50Gbps with PAM-4 signaling.

Laufer Wind’s Aircraft Detection Lighting System Fulfills FAA Performance Standards

Following Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) testing and introduction of new performance guidelines, Laufer Wind is now making its patented Aircraft Detection System (ADS) available in the U.S. The ADS is a radar-activated obstruction lighting system designed to turn blinking lights atop wind turbines and tall towers on or off, based on the presence or absence of aircraft in the vicinity. This technology allows “lights out” for up to 98% of the night which significantly reduces the towers’ visual impacts on surrounding communities.

Sun Life Stadium to Install Eaton’s Ephesus Lighting LED System

Power management company Eaton today announced that Sun Life Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, University of Miami and the Orange Bowl, plans to implement an advanced light-emitting diode (LED) system designed to enhance the viewing experiences for stadium spectators and television audiences, while reducing energy use by as much as 75 percent. The new Ephesus Lighting LED system will be implemented for the beginning of the 2016 NFL football season.
