Cycle GmbH was founded with the mission of building innovative ultrafast technology for science and industry applications.
We are producing world-leading timing equipment that synchronizes RF and optical equipment to each other with sub-femtosecond resolution. Key developments for these technologies started more than a decade ago at MIT and have been improved at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY). Sub-femtosecond synchronization across several kilometers has been demonstrated and is currently being commercialized. Cycle GmbH, a DESY spinoff company founded by Prof. Franz X. Kaertner and other scientists, holds the exclusive license to commercialize the key synchronization technologies from his research at MIT.
