IMAGING DETECTOR SYSTEMS
Quantar offers a family of unique, single-event-counting, imaging detector/camera systems for photon [2601 Series] and charged particle (electron, ion) [3300/2400 Series] imaging and spectroscopy. These detector system are among the most sensitive, lowest noise detectors available and are used in a wide range of applications including specialized astronomy, electron and ion spectroscopy and imaging, mass spectrometry, and optical spectroscopy and imaging.. They are also used in specialized applications by leading semiconductor manufacturers such as optically-based, non-contact diagnostic measurements of IC signal timing and skew for IC/microprocessor design verification and failure analysis. Products include both hardware and software.
SCIENTIFIC DATA ACQUISITION BOARDS AND SYSTEMS
Through a partnership with Fast ComTec GmbH, Quantar offers a range of specialized, high-performance, signal processing and data acquisition and display instruments, primarily PC-based. These are used for such applications as precise timing in applications such as time-of-flight mass spectrometers and LIDAR (light-ranging) and multiple-input-parameter data acquisition and display and pulse-height sorting and analysis (MCA). The markets for these products are very similar to the core markets for our other products.
