Sandhouse Design Selects IRphotonics' Infrared Fiber for Novel Fiber-Based Spectrometer

IRphotonics, a leading provider of infrared fiber and materials, is pleased to announce that the iGuideTM infrared fiber has been selected as the delivery fiber for the low attenuation infrared fiber in the SIR 3400 recently released by Sandhouse Design. This is a versatile fiber-based spectrometer that uses innovative technology to measure and provide spectral profiles in the 2,900 to 10,000 cm-1 (1-3.4 um).

The combination of the iGuideTM infrared fiber by IRphotonics and the spectrometer by Sandhouse Design allows the trace detection of molecules whose fundamental vibration energy is in the mid IR range such as CH4, H2S, and HCN for example.

"We have explored several solutions and IRphotonics' mid infrared fiber is a superior and readily available technical solution allowing us to offer a spectrometer with a wide spectral range in the 1 to 3.4µm", stated Brian Rogers, President and CEO of Sandhouse Design.

Ruben Burga, Vice President of Sales for IRphotonics commented "The iGuideTM is a product family of advanced infrared fibers and materials designed to open the way to new applications and new products such as Sandhouse Design's SIR analyzer. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with them."

IRphotonics at the Eastern Analytical Symposium, Garden State Convention Center, New Jersey, November 17-20.

IRphotonics will be exhibiting with Sandhouse Design, booth 627. Please contact [email protected] to schedule a meeting.
