SunSi Energies declared the acquisition of exclusive North American rights for distribution of high performance light emitting diode (LED) products that can be deployed in a wide range of applications. China-based Shanghai Lightsky Optoelectronics Technology manufactures these products.
Lightsky is a well-established LED producer. With a broad array of product portfolio ranging from illumination LED lighting to architectural LED lighting and LED video display systems, Lightsky serves extensive commercial and institutional users. Furthermore, Lightsky develops products for consumer use. Lightsky’s products were used in major projects such as the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, Hong Kong University, Shanghai International Airport, and the Shanghai Metro Station.
The company has a range of utility and design patents and is a recipient of certificates like Rohs, ISO9001, CE, in addition to other international certifications and qualifications. Superior products result when high-quality LED products of the company integrate with high-quality diodes coupled with proprietary circuitry, electronics and assembly.
In order to acquire exclusive rights to market Lightsky's LED products, SunSi spent $750,000 in restricted common stock in exchange for the exclusive rights in the territories of North America such as Canada, the United States, and Mexico. SunSi need to complete certain performance achievements for maintaining exclusivity for the automatic renewal periods and for the five year period.
SunSi intends investing on this extensive market opportunity by capitalizing on Lightsky's technology, performance, and quality products for gaining entry within the already-recognized markets. SunSi will provide a variety of LED products for warehouses, large consumer retail chains, stadiums and arenas, commercial office space, parking facilities, airports, exterior building facades, and for LED fluorescent replacement lighting.
