At Winter BICSI Conference 2008, JDSU will display new products from its extensive portfolio of task-ready tools for network and enterprise test -. including the unveiling of the LanScaperPRO(TM) Network Tester and TestifierPRO(TM) Cable Tester -. as well as new fiber optic test kits featuring products from Westover Scientific, acquired by JDSU on January 7. JDSU's portfolio will be exhibited at booth # 1207.
LanScaperPRO combines the functions of a high-end cable tester and length measurement device with the capability to identify, monitor and correct LAN issues associated with physical layer and link conditions in the network. The TestifierPRO accurately detects wiring problems such as no connection, shorts, high-resistance faults and split pair conditions by performing detailed analysis for cable test and pre-test. It is also able to determine cable length in feet or meters using a patented cable capacitance method and performs tone generation, among other features.
The all-in-one fiber optic test kits feature newly-acquired Westover Scientific microscopes coupled with JDSU handhelds, including the new range of PocketClass optical power meters and light sources. Unlike competitive solutions, technicians now have the cleaning, inspecting, and testing tools in one kit that empower the user to get the job done right the first time. Fiber testers highlighted at BICSI, in addition to the PocketClass and Westover products, include the SmartClass(TM) and the T-BERD(R) 6000 OTDR.
These and other products from JDSU's Network and Enterprise Test portfolio are available through the company's extensive network of stocking distributors.
