Meller Optics Launches Infrared and Broadband Optics for Sensor Applications

Meller Optics has introduced broadband and infrared optics that are suitable for front surface, sensor and detector applications.

Infrared and broadband optics

The optics include a wide range of reflective and antireflection coatings, wedges, stepped edges, slots, and mounting holes.

The optics are ideal for use as OEM assembly as prisms, mirrors, lenses and windows. They are fabricated to accurate customer specifications from spinel, sapphire, silicon, germanium, magnesium fluoride, calcium fluoride, zinc sulfide and zinc selenide. In addition, the optics can have meniscus, planoconcave and planoconvex configurations with ë/10 and ë/4 surfaces and 10-5 scratch-dig finishes.

The broadband and infrared optics are compliant to MIL-PRF-13830. In addition, they come in the size range of 1/4  to 6" diagonal or outer diameter with +/- 0.005" tolerances and +/- 0.002" thickness.
