Samsung Electronics Reduces LCD Production to 90%

Samsung Electronics announced that it has reduced the production of LCD flat screens to around 90% - 94%. The reason behind reduced production is that manufacturers struggle to meet the weak demand and fluctuating prices in the LCD flat screen market.

Reduces sales growth of flat screen computers and televisions has generated an increased supply in the market. This increase in supply has ended the market growth that persisted less than two years.

President of LCD division at Samsung, Chang Wonkie stated that the company’s LCD production has dropped to around 90%.
